Position 1 – Specialist in Gender and Livelihood

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Gender, social sciences, livelihood, business, economics, nutrition, food security, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience plus a postgraduate degree with progressive responsibility in gender, livelihood, and economic development.

Experience in capacity building initiatives and partnership management.

Operational research-related activities experience.

Design and management experience in livelihoods promotion programs.

Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Strong interpersonal abilities, maturity, proactive approach, tactfulness, and a heightened sense of responsibility.

Ability to work harmoniously with individuals from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.

Strong analytical skills to address technical issues, write clear reports, and make effective presentations.

Solid organizational skills with the ability to coach staff and partners in an empowering manner that encourages innovation and accountability.

In-depth knowledge of livelihood impact indicators.

Firm belief in teamwork, gender equity, sensitivity to HIV/AIDS-related issues, participatory approaches, and sustainable development.

Position 2 – Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in social science, health science, statistics, monitoring and evaluation, or related fields.

Knowledge of statistical software.

3 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 2 years of relevant experience plus a postgraduate degree.

Effective organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.

Adept at utilizing computer tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, ODK, IP Info, and STATA.

Excellent verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal skills.

Belief in teamwork, gender equality, participatory approaches, and sustainability.

Proficiency in English and local language, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (30% of time)

Leadership and coordination in data collection, analysis, and utilization for decision-making and program design.

Guidance in developing tools and templates for data collection, analysis, and reporting in line with the Uplift Her Performance Measurement framework.

Capacity building for project staff in the use of data collection tools and database maintenance.

Consistent guidance in the areas of collecting, analyzing, documenting, and disseminating data.

Data quality assurance checks and validation.

Participation in joint monitoring and coordination meetings.

Involvement in project baseline evaluation, mid-term evaluation, end-line evaluation, outcome survey, and other project surveys and assessments.

Introduction of CARE Feedback and Accountability Mechanism to the project.

Collection, analysis, and reporting of FAM data to CARE FAM focal person and CO LDM manager.

Support project staff in reviewing and revising project M&E plan and indicators.

Participation in project Detail implementation plan preparation.

Providing reporting feedback to CARE project staff.
