Position 1: B2B Customer Support Officer

This role focuses on providing exemplary customer service to B2B clients, managing operational, system, and technical issues, and collaborating closely with Account Relationship Managers to enhance client relationships.Essential Requirements and Experience:
    • University degree or equivalent qualification.Experience in a B2B/B2C customer service environment.Proficiency in risk and compliance management.Excellent computer skills.

    • Pay Band: BRC-4-F
    • Salary: ETB 38,924 per month plus benefits
    • Contract Type: Two (2) Years Fixed Term
    • Department: Exams
    • Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
    • Applicants must have legal rights to work in Ethiopia.

Position 2: Procurement Manager

  1. Are you experienced in procurement leadership? Join our global team in managing complex procurement projects and fostering effective supplier relationships. The British Council seeks candidates with a deep understanding of procurement processes and a track record in negotiation and project delivery.Minimum Requirements:
    • Extensive experience in procurement management.Ability to lead negotiations and manage procurement teams.Strong knowledge of competitive bidding and supplier relationship management.Business acumen and familiarity with pricing models and legal risks.Undergraduate degree or relevant experience.Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., CIPS) preferred.Proficiency in English (written and verbal).

    • Salary: 96,474 ETB per month

Position 3: IELTS Speaking Examiners – Ethiopia

  • An undergraduate or Master’s degree or a qualification which can be demonstrated to be equivalent to an undergraduate or Master’s degree*.
  • A recognised qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages(TESOL) or recognised equivalent as part of a recognised university award course.
  • At least 3 years’ full time (or the equivalent part time) relevant TESOL teaching experience (minimum one-year post-certificate level qualification). The majority of this teaching experience must relate to adult students (16 years and over)**.
  • The required professional attributes and interpersonal skills for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting IELTS Speaking tests.
  • Marking IELTS Speaking tests.
  • Ensuring certification is up to date and attending Examiner training, standardisation and certification sessions as required
  • Conducting other IELTS and British Council exams as required, depending on certification.
  • Adhering to the IELTS Professional Support Network and British Council policies.
  • Participating in Examiner meetings and other relevant meetings as required.
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and to ensure that policy is taken into account when planning and delivering activities.
  • Managing information created and received in compliance with the British Council’s information management standards, policies, the UK data protection principles and local legislation.
  • Participating in required British Council training and applying relevant principles in carrying out duties, including Child Protection and Health and Safety.
  • Examiners need to be organised, prepared, and professional, and dress in line with local expectations of an examiner.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in IELTS
