Awash Bank is seeking skilled and qualified individuals to fill the following job openings:

Established on November 10, 1994, after the fall of the socialist regime, Awash Bank is Ethiopia’s first private bank. Initially funded by 486 shareholders with a capital of Birr 24.2 million, the bank began its operations on February 13, 1995. Since then, it has experienced significant growth despite various global and local challenges, and it continues to enhance its capital, technology, human resources, and customer base.

Job Openings at Awash Bank:

Position 1: Legal Aid


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in Law with at least two (2) years of experience as a Legal Aid.

Job Summary:

  • Represent the bank before quasi-judicial tribunals and administrative bodies.
  • Assist attorneys with the foreclosure process and conduct auctions.
  • Monitor the implementation of court decisions and orders.
  • Follow up on criminal cases, search for collateralized vehicles, and identify attachable assets.

Location: Addis Ababa (V.No HO/00920/24)

Position 2: Cyber Security Analyst I


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field with at least four (4) years of experience in Information Security.

Job Summary:

  • Detect and respond to security events and incidents within the bank.
  • Conduct systematic examinations of information systems to evaluate security measures, identify deficiencies, and assess the effectiveness of proposed security measures.

Location: Addis Ababa (V.No HO/00919/24)

Position 3: Branch Manager – Class IV Branch


Qualifications & Experience:

  • BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, or Economics with at least eight (8) years of relevant banking experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role.

Job Summary:

  • Plan, organize, lead, and control branch activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the bank’s operating procedures, regulations, and code of practices.
  • Oversee branch sales and customer service, and drive operational excellence.
  • Prepare and submit annual budgets, operational plans, and activity reports.

Locations:

  1. Abshege Branch – Gurage Zone, Darge Town (V.No HO/00917/24)
  2. Seden Sodo Branch – Gurage Zone, Harbu Chulule Town (V.No HO/00918/24)
