Aggar Micro Finance S.C. is the pioneer commercial private microfinance institution established under Proclamation No. 40/96, now governed by Proclamation No. 626/2009. It aims to bridge the gap in financial services by catering to the “missing middle” across urban and rural areas of the country. Founded with 443 shareholders and a paid-up capital of Birr 4,243,600.00, Aggar has since expanded to over 750 shareholders, increased its paid-up capital to over 200 million Birr, and grown its total assets to more than 410 million Birr.

Aggar Micro Finance S.C. is currently seeking qualified professionals for the following positions:

Position 1: Data Encoder / Accountant I

  • Qualifications: BA degree/College Diploma in Accounting & Finance or related fields.
  • Experience: 2/4 years of relevant work experience in a financial institution.
  • Location: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Senior Risk and Compliance Management Officer

  • Qualifications: BA Degree in Management, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience: 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Additional Requirements: Good knowledge of microfinance business, risk, and compliance management principles and practices.
  • Location: Addis Ababa

Position 3: Section Head, Financial Audit

  • Qualifications: BA Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Additional Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge of auditing and accounting principles, thorough understanding of financial laws and audit regulations, ability to analyze financial statements, and good knowledge of microfinance business.
  • Location: Addis Ababa

Position 4 : Section Head, Performance Audit

  • Qualifications: BA Degree in Accounting, Management, or related fields.
  • Experience: 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Additional Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge of auditing and accounting principles, thorough understanding of financial laws and audit regulations, ability to analyze financial statements, and good knowledge of microfinance business.
  • Location: Addis Ababa

Position 5: Manager, Credit & Saving Mobilization Division

  • Qualifications: BA degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience: 6 years relevant experience, including 2 years in a senior position.
  • Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of accounting principles & practices, comprehensive understanding of microfinance business, excellent knowledge of financial regulations, company governing policies, and ability to supervise branches.
  • Location: Addis Ababa

Position 6: Manager, General Accounts Division

  • Qualifications: MA/BA Degree in Accounting, Management, or related fields.
  • Experience: 6 years relevant experience, including 2 years in a senior position.
  • Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of accounting principles & practices, comprehensive understanding of microfinance business, excellent knowledge of financial regulations, company governing policies, ability to prepare statements of accounts, and IFRS application skills.
  • Location: Addis Ababa

Position 7: Director, Audit & Inspection Department

  1. Qualifications: MA/BA Degree in Accounting, Management, or related field.
  2. Experience: 8/6 years relevant experience, including 3 years in a senior position.
  3. Additional Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge of auditing and accounting principles, thorough understanding of financial laws and audit regulations, ability to analyze financial statements, good knowledge of microfinance business, effective communication, human relations skills, and basic computer application skills.
  4. Location: Addis Ababa

Position 8: Branch Manager I

  1. Qualifications: BA Degree/College Diploma in Marketing, Management, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  2. Experience: 5 years of relevant experience.
  3. Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of microfinance business, excellent knowledge of company operation policies, good knowledge of financial and marketing management principles and practices, effective communication skills, and basic computer application skills.
  4. Location: Addis Ababa outlet branches
