Abay Bank S.C. is currently seeking competent and certified candidates for the following positions. Abay Bank has met all the necessary requirements of the National Bank of Ethiopia to establish a financial institution. It was formally established on July 14th, 2010, and commenced full-fledged banking operations on November 3, 2010.

Position 1: Manager – Interest-Free Banking

Job Summary:

  • The Manager is responsible for assisting the department in meeting its information requirements by compiling comprehensive efficiency-related data about branches in the interest-free banking (IFB) sector.
  • Additionally, the Manager is tasked with generating various guidelines and customer information relevant to IFB, aiming to enhance resource mobilization.

Required Education and Experience:

  • A Master’s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with at least six (6) years of experience, out of which two (2) years should be in a senior position; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with at least eight (8) years of experience, out of which two (2) years must be in a senior position.

Position 2: Branch Manager – Interest-Free Banking

Job Summary:

  • The Branch Manager is responsible for meeting branch information requirements by compiling comprehensive IFB efficiency-related data. The Manager is also responsible for creating various guidelines and customer information useful for enhancing resource mobilization in the IFB sector.

Required Education and Experience:

  • A Master’s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with at least four (4) years of experience, out of which two (2) years must be in a senior position; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with at least five (5) years of experience, out of which two (2) years must be in a senior position.
