Abay Bank has met all requirements set forth by the National Bank of Ethiopia for establishing a bank and was officially founded on July 14th, 2010, commencing full banking operations on November 3, 2010.

Position 1: Customer Service Supervisor Grade – I

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields, with a minimum of two years of experience in banking operations.

Responsibilities include endorsing tickets/vouchers, authorizing transactions, overseeing cheque clearance, reconciling accounts, and related tasks.

Place of Work: Kujja/Guraferda Branch/Hajialiyu/Worabe Branch

Position 2: Capital Market Advisor

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Master’s Degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or related fields, with at least eight years of experience in financial institutions, capital markets, or related areas.

Responsibilities include providing strategic guidance on capital market activities, investment strategies, market analysis, risk management, compliance, client relationship management, product development, and performance monitoring.

Additional Skills:

Ideally possesses a professional credential like the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Brings substantial expertise in advising on capital markets, analyzing investments, and managing financial risks. Demonstrates proficiency in asset-liability management, crafting investment strategies, and optimizing portfolios. Exhibits a solid grasp of regulatory compliance, risk evaluation methodologies, and financial modeling approaches. Possesses outstanding analytical capabilities, effective communication prowess, and adeptness in managing stakeholders.

Place of Work: Head Office

Position 3: Branch Manager – Grade -I

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Economics, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or related fields, with at least three years of experience in banking operations, including one year in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating branch activities, evaluating performance, motivating staff, recruiting customers, and providing professional advice.

Place of Work: Yirgalem Branch

Note: Fluency in Af-Soomaali is preferable for applicants to the Daruselam Branch/Jigjiga City.

Salary: As per the Bank’s Scale
