Position 1: Quality Control Officer
The Quality Control Officer will be responsible for ensuring that soy oil cake production meets EthioChicken’s quality benchmarks. This role involves overseeing production processes, conducting tests, and implementing quality assurance practices to ensure the final product is safe, consistent, and compliant with EthioChicken’s standards as well as industry regulations. Collaboration with production teams to resolve quality issues and drive ongoing improvements in manufacturing processes is essential.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
- Experience in quality control or food manufacturing is desirable but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with soy oil cake production is beneficial.
- Ability to prepare normal and molar solutions.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and conducting chemical tests.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Position 2: Maintenance Manager/Shift Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Electrical, Industrial Electrical Maintenance, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably within the food sector.
- Experience with oil cake production facilities is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems, PLCs, VFDs, and automated control systems.
- Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Position 3: Shift Mechanical Technician
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Basic understanding of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
