The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) invites recent graduates to apply for various positions.

CBE’s origins trace back to the establishment of the State Bank of Ethiopia in 1942. Officially founded as a joint-stock company in 1963, the bank has been a key player in the nation’s development ever since.

Today, CBE serves over 38.9 million account holders through more than 1,948 branches. The bank also has over 6.6 million Mobile Banking users, 37,000 Internet Banking users, and 8.3 million active ATM card holders. Additionally, there are 17 million CBE Birr customers.

Position 1: Bank Trainee

Qualifications and Experience:

  • B.A. Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, or related business fields.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Minimum CGPA of 2.5 for both female and male candidates.
  • Applicants must be 27 years old or younger at the time of application.
  • Graduation years eligible: 2015 and 2016 E.C.

Work Location: Mekelle district and Shire Endasilassie district.

Position 2: IS Trainee

Qualifications and Experience:

  • M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, MIS, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Applicants must be 27 years old or younger at the time of application.

Work Location: Head Office.
