Position 1: MEAL Assistant
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma/Level IV in social science or a related field.
- For Bachelor’s degree holders: 1–2 years of MEAL-specific experience; for Diploma holders: 3 years of MEAL-specific experience.
- Ability to analyze and communicate data effectively to aid decision-making.
- Act as a proactive community liaison, engaging with clients and community members.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and commitments, and adaptable to team dynamics.
- Creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm, with a knack for developing and testing innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills in the local language and Amharic.
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Experience working with refugees and/or internally displaced persons (IDPs), with an understanding of their preferred feedback mechanisms.
- Experience in implementing various feedback channels such as surveys, focus group discussions, hotlines, suggestion boxes, etc.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English is a plus.
- Passion for humanitarian work and support.
Language Skills:
- Strong English writing and speaking skills required; proficiency in the local language is advantageous.

Position 2: ERD Livelihood Officer
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Social Science, Development Economics, Rural Development, Development Studies, Agribusiness Management, or a related field.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- For Master’s degree holders: at least 1 year; for Bachelor’s degree holders: at least 2 years; for Diploma holders: at least 5 years of experience as a business trainer or service provider.
- Proven experience in implementing livelihood-related activities.
- Substantial knowledge and experience in sustainable livelihoods and resilience programs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with NGOs is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Experience in facilitating training, developing training materials, and delivering quality business skill training.
- Strong skills in transferring knowledge through various training methods, along with presentation and reporting skills.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support small to medium enterprises clients.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and planning skills, including multitasking and prioritization.
- A clear understanding of gender issues.
