Position 1: Population, Health, and Environment Coordinator (PHE Specialist)
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outreach on PHE, Sustainable Energy, and Gender issues.
- Provide technical guidance in designing and implementing health and environment pilot activities in key intervention areas.
- Support task force meetings at all levels and contribute to discussions.
- Organize and facilitate PHE awareness and capacity-building trainings for communities and relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate PHE activities in schools.
- Collaborate with local public health institutions to enhance community reproductive health.
- Plan and implement ecosystem management schemes, including the production and distribution of fuel-saving stoves in conjunction with other project team members.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a BSc in public health or related field.
- At least 6 years of proven experience in reproductive health, family planning, and the interrelation between population, health, and environment.
- Strong understanding of gender and social inclusiveness.
- Proficiency in local language(s).
- Good understanding of participatory approaches and sustainable development.
- Excellent facilitation, coordination, communication (written and spoken English), record-keeping, report writing, and computer skills (Word and Excel).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Position 2: Adaba Pillar Project Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, monitor, and report on project activities as per the project document.
- Manage the project budget and office, ensuring compliance with financial rules and donor requirements.
- Engage with stakeholders in the project area to facilitate active participation in project implementation.
- Mobilize the community for active involvement in the project.
- Provide leadership and supervision to project staff.
- Collaborate with similar projects.
- Coordinate and document best practices.
- Ensure high-quality execution of planned project activities.
- Develop manuals/materials and provide training for target groups.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual plans and reports.
Job Requirements
- BSc Degree in Sociology, Education, Gender, Health, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Project Management, or related fields from a recognized university.
- Comprehensive understanding of PHE integration.
- At least 5 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in project management, coordination, and community mobilization.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Word processing, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and high-quality report writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team, even in challenging environments.
- Knowledge of the local language (Oromiffa).
- Experience with NGOs is an asset.
