By 1974, Hagbes owned feed mills, pasta factories, and a flour milling complex, making it one of the largest establishments of its kind in Eastern Africa.
Following the economic liberalization in 1991, Hagbes embarked on a new phase of expansion. Today, the company employs around 640 people across various locations in Ethiopia and has developed over 25 distinct business segments, each a leader in its field.
