Ethiopian Capital Market Authority Vacancy Announcement

The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) was established under Capital Market Proclamation No 1248/2021 as an independent Federal Regulatory Authority. ECMA’s primary objective is to foster a capital market environment where securities can be issued and traded in an orderly, fair, and efficient manner.

As a regulatory body, ECMA is responsible for granting licenses for operations such as securities exchanges, derivative exchanges, securities depositories and clearing companies, capital market service providers, over-the-counter trading facilities, and any other activities considered regulated under its jurisdiction. ECMA also oversees and regulates trading in primary and secondary securities markets, manages electronic trading platforms for securities, and recognizes and supervises the activities of self-regulatory organizations.

Position 1: Communication Officer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Position 2: Senior Supervision Officer II

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Economics, Management, Accounting and Finance, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in regulatory compliance, due diligence, risk assessment, audits, reviews, or investigations in financial institutions.

Position 3: Senior Strategy and Change Management Officer I
