Position 1: Senior Project Manager
Requirements
Who we’re looking for:
We seek a dynamic team player with outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills to drive our current and future development projects. As our Senior Project Manager, you should excel in relationship management, analytical skills, strategic thinking, change management, effective communication, planning and organization, flexibility, and resilience. Given our reliance on donor funding and partnerships with local and international organizations, you must have a proven track record and experience working with various international donors and partners. The ideal candidate will have at least three to five years of senior project management experience and a university degree in a relevant field. Essential skills and experience include:
- Extensive experience in developing and managing large-scale, donor-funded projects.
- Proven ability to secure new donor-funded international development projects, including developing and presenting business ideas persuasively to potential partners and funders. Experience in writing successful donor-funded proposals incorporating project research and development, log-frames, budgets, etc.
- Strong financial management skills with experience managing complex medium to large budgets for donor-funded projects and knowledge of donor reporting requirements.
- Experience in managing teams and enhancing internal management systems and processes.
- Confident public speaking skills with experience presenting to colleagues, donors, and stakeholders.
- Good judgment and decision-making abilities, including crisis adaptation, response, and risk evaluation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively amid conflicting deadlines and demands.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Position 2: Producer Director/Head Of Production
Requirements
Who we’re looking for:
We seek a creative leader and strong team player with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and lead production and training for our media partners. As our Producer Director, you will need competencies in creative leadership, editorial judgment and decision-making, effective communication, relationship management, analytical and strategic thinking, planning and organization, flexibility, and resilience. Understanding the Ethiopian media landscape, development challenges, and experience working with media partners is crucial. You should be adept at generating creative ideas and transforming dry topics into engaging media content. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three to five years of senior project management experience and a university degree in a relevant field. Essential skills and experience include:
- Significant practical experience in designing and producing engaging media outputs across platforms, particularly for development and social behavior change purposes. Experience leading production teams to deliver high-quality media content on time.
- Highly developed production planning and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple areas of work, prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes and conflicting priorities.
- Experience working closely with external partners and building, maintaining, and influencing high-level external relationships.
- Proficiency in various production systems and tools, including software.
- Proven track record in production budget management.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
