Position 1: Program Development Director
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in program-related roles within NGOs, academic institutions, intergovernmental organizations, or similar networks.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management, Development Leadership, Business Administration, International Relations, or related fields.
- Proven experience in coordination and project implementation within multi-agency forums.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Proficiency in developing proposals, budgets, and reports.
- Documented skills in resource mobilization and partnership development.
- Extensive experience in creating advocacy, policy, and key messaging documents.
- In-depth understanding of government systems, CSOs, the private sector, and international development principles.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project planning, management, and monitoring tools tailored to the Council’s needs.
- Foster teamwork among program and project coordinators and facilitate regular communication and interaction.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to project officers throughout the project implementation cycle.
- Participate in resource mobilization activities and identify potential partners and donors in collaboration with the Resource Mobilization Team.
- Monitor the execution of projects to ensure they meet agreed timelines and contract obligations.
- Lead the preparation of periodic plans and project implementation reports (both narrative and budget).
- Coordinate the annual plan preparation and strategic plan review for the Council.
- Plan and co-facilitate training for project coordinators/officers to address skill and knowledge gaps.
- Ensure that proposals prepared for funding meet donor/partner standards and detailed requirements.
- Provide technical support to project coordinators in report preparation and budget compilation in line with donor/partner requirements.
- Represent ECSOC in program evaluations, appraisals, and related events.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.
Position 2: Membership & Communication Officer
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with CSO experience being desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communication, Public Relations, or related fields.
Competencies:
- Certifications in Project Management, Development Leadership, Business Administration, International Relations, or related fields are a plus.
- Proven experience in membership and communication.
- Strong membership management skills.
- Documented skills in resource mobilization and partnership development.
- Integrity in service, reflecting ECSOC’s mission, values, and guiding principles to improve the lives of citizens and CSOs.
- Stewardship, making responsible and efficient use of resources to achieve plans and goals.
- Ability to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships through solidarity.
Responsibilities:
- Implement an up-to-date strategic membership and communication plan.
- Assist in membership management for the Council.
- Serve as a membership and communication liaison to members, media, private sector organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Build a strong and successful brand for the Council.
- Lead member outreach efforts, organize data, and prepare talking points and effective responses to member queries.
- Initiate and maintain collaborations with media outlets that reflect ECSOC’s principles.
- Write, edit, and manage content on the website, social media, and other digital and printed communications, including e-newsletters, Twitter and Facebook updates, and periodic updates to members.
- Oversee ECSOC publication products, including articles, newsletters, case studies, press releases, reports, photos, infographics, success stories, and other communications.
- Prepare video productions and documentations.
- Monitor the implementation of the membership and communication strategy and prepare activity reports.
- Develop and maintain membership and communication plans.
- Ensure coherent messaging between web-based and non-web content.
- Engage, manage, and standardize ECSOC’s social media and online presence.
- Coordinate conferences and manage registrations and exhibition logistics.
- Ensure the dissemination of publications and exhibition materials at conferences.
- Maintain and track stocks of ECSOC promotional materials.
