Walia Steel Industry (WSI) is a privately owned company established in 2006 in Alemgena town, Oromia Regional State, located 20km from Addis Ababa. Initially capitalized at Birr 200,000,000 (Two Hundred Million Birr), WSI has since grown its capital and operations. The company’s primary focus is on manufacturing and marketing steel products, situated on a 53,000 square meter plot.
WSI was founded to address Ethiopia’s significant shortage of construction materials and to contribute to the country’s economic development by creating employment opportunities.
As the first private steel industry at the time of its establishment, WSI has played a pivotal role in transforming Ethiopia’s steel sector. It continues to expand its operations into the broader African market.

Position 1: Junior Accountant
- Qualification: BA Degree in Accounting/Finance or related fields
- Experience: Entry-level

Position 2: Planning Officer
- Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
- Experience: Minimum 2 years for degree holders, 3 years for diploma holders
- Required Skills: Report compilation ability

Position 3: Corporate Human Resources Manager
- Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Human Resource, Public Administration, or related fields
- Experience: Minimum 6 years, with at least 4 years as HR manager in the industry sector

- Qualification: BSC in Architectural Engineering or related fields
