Established on May 2, 2002, by 658 shareholders, Nib Insurance Company (NIC) started with an authorized capital of Birr 50 million and a paid-up capital of Birr 14 million. Initially, it operated with 4 branches in Addis Ababa and had a staff of fewer than 50 employees. Currently, NIC’s paid-up capital has grown to Birr 250 million, and the number of shareholders has increased to 1,014. NIC offers both General (Non-Life) Insurance and Life Assurance Services to its clients.
NIC conducts its operations through its Head Office, 42 branches, and 1 Contact Office for General Insurance, along with 1 Life Assurance branch. Out of these branches, 27 are located in Addis Ababa. The company now employs 416 people.
Position: Junior Legal Officer
Required Education: LL.B in Law, graduates from the year 2022/2023 G.C or 2015 E.C, with a passing mark or above in the exit exam.
Work Experience: Not required (0 years).
Special Skills and Knowledge:
- Understanding of insurance business
- Knowledge of commercial codes
- Familiarity with court proceedings
- Techniques of litigation
- Ability to litigate minor cases
- Ability to draft simple legal documents
