World Vision Ethiopia is seeking qualified and dynamic individuals for the following employment opportunities:

Position 1: Sponsorship System and Data Management Specialist

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Management Information Systems (MIS), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), English, Psychology, Sociology, Development Studies, or related areas. Preference given to candidates with a focus on ICT or MIS.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in child sponsorship operations.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, and strong typing skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Familiarity with World Vision sponsorship applications is advantageous.

Language Requirements: Tigrigna, English, Amharic

Location: Medebay Zana, Tigray

Position 2: Education in Emergency Project Officer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BEd) in Education, Pedagogy, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Planning and Management, Educational Leadership, or Project Management.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in education, including engagement with local authorities and training partners.
  • Understanding of Ethiopian education policy and experience in Education in Emergency programming.
  • Demonstrated experience in literacy and numeracy skill development for children.
  • Knowledge of creating child-friendly learning environments.
  • Experience in training needs assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and learner-centered instructional methods.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration in diverse cultural settings.

Travel and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Frequent travel to project sites and to National Office as necessary.

Language Requirements: Fluent in written and spoken English.

Location: Telemt, Amhara

Position 3: Social Worker

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Education, or related fields.
  • Minimum one-year relevant experience in child protection and related areas.
  • Knowledge and experience in Gender-Based Violence programming is an asset.
  • Familiarity with implementing integrated Child Protection responses, including Gender-Based Violence.
  • Awareness of or interest in community-based protection mechanisms.
  • Experience in direct case management with children and adolescents is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Extensive training in Child Protection/GBV, psychosocial wellbeing, case management, and application of international technical guidelines.

Travel and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Frequent travel to project sites and National Office as needed.

Language Requirements: Fluent in written and spoken English, as well as local languages.
