HABESHA Cement Share Co., an Ethiopian-based cement manufacturing enterprise established in September 2008, specializes in producing OPC 42.5R and PPC 32.5N cements.
Position 1: Division Manager, Instrumentation and Automation
Job Purpose:
Enhance the performance and reliability of electrical and automation systems by overseeing the manufacturing, fabrication, and installation of instrumentation and automation system components in electrical workshops.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the repair and adjustment of equipment, machinery, and faulty parts.
- Maintain equipment logs documenting performance issues, repairs, calibrations, and tests.
- Supervise the repair and maintenance of automated systems and devices used within the company.
- Identify, plan, and ensure an adequate supply of consumables and workshop supplies and equipment.
- Oversee the inspection of plant equipment components for proper assembly and installation.
- Manage scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as inspection, cleaning, and repair to identify and prevent problems.
- Collaborate with relevant professionals to plan equipment layout and address operational and maintenance issues.
- Oversee the development and modification of plant electronic devices, circuits, and equipment according to available specifications.
- Assess the feasibility of utilizing standardized equipment to develop specifications for equipment needed for additional functions.
- Ensure effective implementation of safety, accident prevention, and housekeeping measures in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with all government (Federal and Legal) regulations and requirements.
General Duties of the Position:
- Develop and implement divisional plans and objectives.
- Establish, approve, and monitor divisional budgets.
- Identify human resources needs of the division and develop plans to meet requirements.
- Develop, implement, and review relevant divisional policies and procedures.
- Review, approve, and submit divisional reports to relevant authorities.
- Support the development of subordinates through performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing feedback, and performance discussions.
- Handle disciplinary issues of division staff.
- Represent the division in internal and external relationships.
- Participate in group decision-making processes by serving on various teams/committees.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields with six (6) years of demonstrated experience, including three (3) years in a supervisory position. Location: Holeta, Oromia
Position 2: Chemist
Job Purpose:
Ensure quality cement production by conducting tests and maintaining expected standard quality from raw materials to final cement production.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality control tests.
- Maintain laboratory instruments to ensure proper functioning and troubleshoot malfunctions when necessary.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields with two (2) years of demonstrated experience.
