Position 1: Technical Work Group (TWG) Assistant Officer

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Customer service experience
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Familiarity with health and safety protocols
  • Diploma or degree in customer service, management, or a related field

Main Purpose of the Job:

To support the general operations of the Technical Work Group (TWG) office by managing work requests, staff coordination, and record-keeping, thereby assisting the department in delivering high-quality service to customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a substitute for the TWG office manager when necessary
  • Serving as the initial point of contact for work request inquiries directed to the technical team
  • Managing requisitions (purchase orders) and receipt of goods and services
  • Handling phone calls, emails, message taking, photocopying, etc.
  • Maintaining estate records, inputting data into IT systems, updating work progress, recording staff annual leave, and preparing monthly overtime sheets
  • Processing work requests and preventive planned maintenance schedules
  • Documenting completed work requests and associated costs
  • Managing maintenance information using the Pyramid system
  • Processing weekly payments for day laborers and forwarding them to accounts
  • Verifying TWG vehicle journey sheets and fuel distribution lists monthly
  • Updating the information board to ensure dissemination of information to TWG staff without computer access

Language Requirements:

Language: Fluent in Amharic and English

Salary Range: USD 397.42 – 596.08 per month

Position 2: Senior Programme Manager – British Office Sudan

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to deliver through others
  • Thorough understanding of Programme and Project Management (PPM) processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Resilience to manage multiple projects/programs concurrently, taking initiative, and effectively managing workload
  • Proficient in financial and risk management to support program delivery
  • Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and challenge implementing partners when necessary
  • Effective line management skills and commitment to team member development

The British Office Sudan (BOS) seeks capable, motivated, and experienced individuals to join the Programme Hub and lead the delivery of development and humanitarian programs. This presents an excellent opportunity to ensure program effectiveness and deliver results for the Sudanese people through meticulous management of programs, finances, risks, and partnerships. The role entails building trusted relationships with suppliers and partners to facilitate effective program delivery, managing program cycles, mitigating risks, overseeing finances, engaging with implementing partners, driving implementation, and ensuring program compliance.

Salary: USD 1,603.08 per month

Position 3: Programme Manager – British Office Sudan

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Sound understanding of Programme and Project Management (PPM) processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects/programs concurrently, demonstrating initiative and effective workload management
  • Strong financial management skills, including accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to forecast and manage expenditures accurately
  • Extensive experience in managing risks and issues
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and challenge implementing partners when necessary
  • Flexibility and willingness to support colleagues beyond PPM tasks

The British Office Sudan (BOS) invites capable, motivated, and experienced Programme Managers to join the Operational Excellence Team and contribute to the delivery of development and humanitarian programs.
