Position 1: Junior Accountant

Main Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate supporting documents for all financial transactions.

Code payment vouchers, issue sales invoices and receipts.

Follow up on receivables from our main client, Ayat S.co, ensuring timely collections.

Manage records on our IT system.

Prepare monthly tax declarations and submit them online to ERCA before the Ethiopian calendar date of 25.

Provide parking services for staff and maintain proper records for liabilities settlement.

Prepare monthly payroll and cheque payment vouchers.

Keep records of apartment purchaser’s payment receipts in the specified spreadsheet format.

Assist with petty cash management and payment processing.

Ensure timely payment of monthly bills such as telephone bills, utilities, and office rent.

Handle accounts payable, calculate agents’ commission monthly, and prepare checks.

Maintain records of sales agent details and calculate their commissions.

Assist with annual fixed asset count and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Accounting and Finance or a related field with 1-2 years of experience.

Proficiency in double-entry accounting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Analytical skills and understanding of IFRS principles.

Familiarity with Microsoft applications and Peachtree.

Ability to work under pressure.

Position 2: General Service Officer

Main Responsibilities:

Manage general services, logistics, property, and resource management.

Update office furniture and equipment inventory regularly and ensure their maintenance.

Coordinate workspace arrangements, meetings, and office setup.

Collaborate with the finance team on preparing the annual fixed asset report.

Work with HR on issues related to entitlements and working tools.

Ensure timely delivery of goods and office equipment.

Monitor safety standards and control mechanisms in all working areas.

Manage and maintain cleanliness of employee workspaces and cafeteria.

Initiate purchase requests as needed.

Handle utility bill payments and ensure continuous water and power supply.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Management or a related field with 2+ years of experience in general service management.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Position 3: Accountant

Main Responsibilities:

Verify coding of payment vouchers and receipts, prepare journal vouchers.

Process payment payments and post them in Peachtree accounting software.

Prepare monthly tax declarations and submit them online before the Ethiopian Calendar date of 15.

Handle monthly payroll processing.

Reconcile bank statements with accounting data.

Conduct fixed asset counts annually and update the registration book.

Review bank transaction documents and daily cash sheets.

Maintain journal and general ledger entries.

Assist with sales-related or other financial transactions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Accounting and Finance or a related field with 2+ years of experience in finance operations.

Proficiency in accounting software and applications.

Experience with double-entry accounting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Analytical ability and understanding of IFRS principles.

Ability to work under pressure.
