Ethiopost, a state-owned enterprise (SOE), is responsible for developing and expanding postal services nationwide. As the designated postal operator (DPO), it provides postal services across Ethiopia to meet the government’s universal service obligation (USO).

Position 1: Junior Audit Officer

  • Qualification: Diploma or degree in accounting and finance
  • Work Experience and Skills: No experience required or a college diploma with TVET Stage IV and 2 years of experience
    • Conduct audits of financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
    • Assess effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Identify and evaluate operational risks, proposing measures to mitigate them.

Position 2: Junior Store & Distribution Officer

  • Qualification: Diploma in accounting or related field
  • Work Experience and Skills:
    • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods and supplies.
    • Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and categorization of products, conducting periodic inventory audits to address discrepancies.
    • Manage delivery issues promptly, minimizing transportation delays.
    • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, order processing, and distribution activities.
    • Maintain accurate records of received items, dispatched orders, and stock movements.

Position 3: Senior Audit Officer

  • Qualification: Degree in accounting and finance
  • Work Experience and Skills: 2 years of experience or a college diploma with TVET Stage IV and 4 years of experience
    • Collaborate with management and audit teams to develop risk-based audit plans, setting objectives and defining audit scope.
    • Lead and conduct audit engagements, ensuring compliance with internal audit procedures and relevant regulations.
    • Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance structures.
    • Identify and assess potential risks affecting organizational performance and compliance.
