Tsehay Insurance S.C. (TISc) was founded on March 28, 2012, by 105 shareholders, comprising prominent individuals and business organizations. Registered under proclamation No.86/1994 and license No.017/12 by the National Bank of Ethiopia, the company initiated its operations with a subscribed capital of Birr 45 million and a paid-up capital of Birr 11,480,000, significantly exceeding the minimum requirement of Birr 3 million. At its inception, TISc established three branches in Addis Ababa.
