Nib Insurance Company (NIC) was founded on May 2, 2002, by 658 shareholders, initially with an authorized capital of Birr 50.0 million and a Paid-Up Capital of Birr 14.0 million. At that time, it operated with 4 branches in Addis Ababa and a staff size of no more than 50 individuals.
As of now, NIC has seen substantial growth, with its paid-up capital reaching Birr 250 million and the shareholder count rising to 1,014. The company now offers both General (Non-Life) Insurance and Life Assurance Services to its clientele.
NIC conducts its business operations through various channels, including its Head Office, 42 branches, 1 Contact Office for General Insurance, and 1 Life Assurance branch. Twenty-seven of these branches are situated in Addis Ababa. Presently, NIC employs 416 individuals.
Position 1: Junior Procurement Officer
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma level (Level IV) with COC in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Management, or related disciplines.
- Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
- Work Location: Head Office and Addis Ababa Branches.
Position 2: Secretary Cashier
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or Level IV with Certificate of Competency (COC) in Secretarial Science and Office Management, Administering Office and Secretarial Technology, Accounts and Budget Service, Secretarial Science, Customer Contact, and Secretarial Operations, or Secretarial Technology.
- Experience: 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with experience in computer, printer, photocopy, fax, and related machine maintenance.
- Work Location: Jigjiga Branches.
Position 3: Information Technology Technician (Help Desk Officer)
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma level (Level IV) with COC in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology Support System, Software & Hardware Technician, or related fields.
- Experience: 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with experience in computer, printer, photocopy, fax, and related machine maintenance.
- Work Location: Head Office and Addis Ababa Branches.
