Position: Senior Compliance Officer

Job Purpose: The Senior Compliance Officer is tasked with proactively and efficiently managing compliance, particularly in Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorist Financing (AML/CFT) and other regulatory areas, by implementing a proactive and risk-based compliance management approach. This includes conducting due diligence on AML/CFT activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assume leadership responsibilities within the department when the division manager is unavailable.

Play an active role in developing, reviewing, and implementing policies, procedures, and budgets for the division.

Mentor and empower subordinates to enhance their performance.

Exemplify the bank’s code of conduct, promoting its positive culture and corporate image.

Foster teamwork, collaboration, and transparency within the workplace.

Deliver services in accordance with service level agreements.

Contribute to the bank’s profitability by meeting set targets.

Specific Duties:

Propose and contribute to the development and revision of compliance, AML/CFT, and KYC-related policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring their effective implementation.

Develop and execute a compliance communication strategy and training programs focused on raising awareness and fostering a culture of compliance throughout the bank.

Conduct regular compliance risk assessments at selected branches and other units to proactively mitigate potential risks.

Prepare precise and accurate executive-level compliance risk assessment reports tailored to the needs of the Board of Directors, Executive Management, and regulators, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.

Analyze new bank products and services to ensure compliance with laws and directives issued by regulatory authorities.

Undertake additional assignments as directed by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.

Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant experience, preferably in the banking industry, with at least two years in an officer position.
