Established in compliance with the requirements of the National Bank of Ethiopia, Abay Bank commenced its operations on July 14th, 2010, and began full-fledged banking activities on November 3, 2010.

Position 1: Customer Service Supervisor Grade – I
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Management, Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, or a related field, along with a minimum of two years’ experience in banking operations.
Responsibilities: The Customer Service Supervisor oversees ticket/voucher endorsements and transaction authorizations, ensures proper clearance of cheques, monitors accounts, and conducts reconciliation tasks.
Location: Daruselam Branch/Jigjiga City
Note: Proficiency in speaking and writing Af-Soomaali language is preferred for applicants to the Daruselam Branch/Jigjiga City.
Position 2: Senior Office Engineer
Requirements: Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, or a related field, with at least 6/8 years of experience, including 4 years in a senior role. Experience in Design build Projects is advantageous.
Responsibilities: Provide project progress reports, manage contractors, ensure compliance with technical documentation, maintain project documentation, and monitor project activities.

Position 3: Cashier
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with two years’ experience in cash management.
Responsibilities: Maintain vault key control, oversee cash processes, ensure compliance with internal controls, manage cash shipments, and verify cash transactions.
Location: Atsibi Branch/Tigray Region
Position 4: Auditor
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Management, Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of three years’ experience in banking operations.
Responsibilities: Conduct audits, compile audit reports, perform rectification follow-up, and conduct special investigations.
Location: Rema Branch/North Shewa
Position 5: Security Operation Centre (SOC) Analyst
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, or related fields, with at least three years of experience in a Security Operation Centre. Proficiency in TCP/IP Packet Analysis and experience with IBM QRadar, Arcsight, or Splunk is preferred.
Responsibilities: Monitor security alerts, analyze incidents, conduct threat intelligence analysis, respond to security incidents, and perform forensic investigations.

Position6 :Civil Collateral Valuation and Engineering Specialist
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a relevant field, with a minimum of three years’ experience in designing, estimation, and valuation.
Responsibilities: Verify collateral property documents, assess collateral value, and produce valuation reports.

Position 7: Branch Manager – Grade -I
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with three years’ experience in banking operations, including one year in a supervisory role.
Responsibilities: Coordinate branch activities, evaluate branch operations/targets, motivate staff, and identify potential customers.
Location: Daruselam Branch/Jigjiga City /Deder Branch/ East Hararghe

Position 8: Manager – Interest Free Banking
Requirements: MBA/BA degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field, with at least 8/10 years of experience in banking operations, including four years in Interest-Free Banking (IFB) operations.
Responsibilities: Develop IFB resource mobilization strategy, prepare IFB deposit performance reports, address branch queries, and assess IFB resource opportunities.
