Position 1: Senior Accountant
Role Description:
The Senior Accountant will assume a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company. This position demands a profound understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring precision in financial reporting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance overall business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Aid the finance manager in crafting financial models, forecasts, and budgets to facilitate strategic decision-making, analyze financial data, and offer insights to support business objectives.
Produce and present precise and timely financial reports, encompassing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory mandates.
Supervise cash flow, optimize working capital, and implement strategies to enhance cash efficiency.
Ensure timely approval for all payment requests, oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, and maintain all unused cheques and receipts securely.
Supervise the implementation of documentation and record-keeping procedures, and ensure accurate accounting of current and fixed assets.
Analyze costs and expenditures to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency enhancement. Implement cost control measures while preserving operational efficacy.
Guarantee compliance with pertinent financial regulations, laws, and standards.
Collaborate with both internal and external auditors, furnishing essential documentation and clarifications.
Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence in performance within the finance department.
Fulfill any other duties as delegated by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in a related field.
