Position: Junior Accountant

Qualifications:

Graduates of the year 2023 G.C. with a BA Degree in Accounting & Finance, Accounting, or related fields.

Experience:

No prior experience required.

Job Purpose:

To contribute to the financial recording and reporting system of the company by accurately encoding and recording data.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare, compile, and arrange documents for inputting data.

Aid in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and additional financial statements following legal and company protocols.

Verify data against source documents and detect any discrepancies.

Examine expenses, payroll records, and other designated responsibilities.

Rectify data entry mistakes or escalate them to supervisors.

Keep financial databases up to date for precision and immediate accessibility.

Support senior accountants during monthly/yearly closings.

Merge and reorganize data as required.

Input data into computer databases, files, and forms.

Thoroughly review completed work for accuracy and duly document it.

Maintain logbooks or records of tasks and activities.

Address requests for information and retrieve pertinent files.

Adhere to data integrity and security policies.

Undertake other responsibilities as delegated by the immediate supervisor.
