Since 2006, the company, with the grandchildren as shareholders, has been actively exporting Abbhawa coffee beans globally. With an annual capacity exceeding 11,000 tons, the company has consistently earned over 30 million US dollars per year, ranking as a top 5 exporter since 2011 G.C.
The company boasts a state-of-the-art 8 T/H coffee processing and cleaning facility equipped with a Buhler color sorter for the preparation of washed and sundried coffee. Additionally, Abbahawa Trading owns four washing stations and four dry mill cleaning plants in Bulle Horra (Ebella), Guiji (Qarcha and Gorome), and Yirgacheffe. Apart from coffee export, the company is involved in beverage and food processing, manufacturing ‘ONE’ purified natural bottled water, juice, carbonated soft and energy drinks, as well as corn snack chips, with a total investment of 75 million dollars.
The ‘ONE’ water production facility has a capacity of 120,000 bottles per hour, while the juice and carbonated soft drinks each have a capacity of 24,000 bottles per hour. The chips snack production line operates at 1 ton per hour. These processing plants are located in Sebeta and Alemgena, covering a total area of 100,000 square meters, with modern food processing and warehouse facilities constructed on 75,000 square meters.
