Position: Network Administrator
Job Summary:
Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting an organization’s computer network administration systems. Tasks include designing and installing LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, as well as network segments.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Set up and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, Internet connections, and intranet systems.
Install and maintain network hardware and software.
Analyze and isolate issues.
Monitor networks to ensure security and availability for specific users.
Evaluate and modify system performance.
Identify user needs and determine network and system requirements.
Manage network servers, including file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems. Oversee the administration of servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, as well as handle tasks related to software deployment, security updates, and patches.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Experience:
At least three years of relevant experience in an Information Technology environment.
Required Technical Competency:
Understanding of IT principles and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to different audiences.
Knowledge of tools used to secure and test the security of information systems.
IT vulnerability management expertise.
Solid understanding of security standards, IT security regulatory and compliance rules and standards.
Strong understanding and knowledge of IT risk assessment, risk procedures, security assessment, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
Significant knowledge of complex ICT systems interfaces and their impact.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office applications.
