Job Title: Public Affairs and Communications Manager
Primary Objective:
The Public Affairs and Communications Manager will be responsible for formulating and executing internal and external communication strategies for the organization. Their primary focus is to ensure that consistent and positive messages define and promote the company’s identity and mission. Additionally, they will oversee the regulatory landscape, engaging stakeholders to mitigate business risks and threats. This role reports to both the Legal Counsel and the Public Affairs and Communications Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and execute impactful communication strategies to elevate the company’s standing.
Lead company events and major interventions.
Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with various stakeholders and representatives.
Manage the company’s social media networks.
Support the Legal Counsel and PAC Director in identifying and managing key regulatory threats.
Consistently observe regulations at the national, provincial, and local levels and communicate any regulatory demands.
Qualifications and Experience:
A First Degree in Journalism, English Language and Literature, Public Relations, Law, or other fields in Business or Social Science.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Public Affairs & Communication and regulatory issues, with at least three years in a managerial or supervisory position.
Strong expertise in written and verbal communications.
Exposure to government relations, liaison, media relations, corporate social responsibility, and communications.
