Prime Engineering PLC completed its initial formation phase under an investment license issued in March 2021. After progressing significantly in just a few months, the company successfully obtained licenses from the Ethiopian Construction Works Regulatory Authority and Ethiopian Energy Authority. These licenses include a Building Contractor Grade 4 (BC-4) and Electro-Mechanical Grade 1 (EMSC-1).
At present, our primary areas of focus involve activities in the Energy sector and Telecom infrastructure, encompassing all associated civil and electromechanical works. In the energy sector, our endeavors span a wide spectrum, ranging from the construction of MV & LV distribution networks to HV Substations and Transmission Lines. Additionally, we are actively involved in the entire lifecycle of Renewable energy projects, from inception to project energization.
Position 1: Junior Accountant
Responsibilities:
Prepare checks as requested by the CEO and DGM, ensuring swift verification by the immediate supervisor and approval by the Finance supervisor before reaching signatories.
Generate bank payment vouchers and submit them to the supervisor for review.
Create petty cash vouchers and compile a summary for replenishment.
Conduct bank transfers and handle the monthly preparation of payroll tax and pension declarations for relevant authorities, ensuring timely follow-up on payments.
Maintain proper filing of petty cash and bank payment vouchers at their designated locations.
Collect bank statements from the company’s current bank accounts.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and seek approval from the finance manager.
Handle the preparation of head office payroll, including letter preparation for deductions and submission to the bank.

Position 2: General Accountant
Responsibilities:
Audit financial documents and procedures, reconcile bank statements, and calculate tax payments and returns.
Perform various accounting activities such as journalizing, posting, cross-referencing, adjusting entries, correcting entries, closing entries, and testing for accuracy.
Conduct inventory control and participate in stocktaking activities.
Verify that journal entries align with the respective source documents.
Collect monthly bank statements and reconcile all bank accounts promptly.
Prepare monthly withholding tax payments and VAT declarations on time.
Calculate and prepare weekly daily labor rates and monthly payroll on schedule.
Ensure accurate recording of cash receipts and cash sales invoices.
Regularly test account balances for errors and maintain reliable and up-to-date accounts.
Participate in the preparation of periodic and year-end financial reports and statements.
