Position 2: Commodity Accountant and Stock Controller

Major Responsibilities:

Establish and adhere to a transparent accounting and documentation procedure for every shipment.

Enhance data integrity within the CTS system and ensure smooth system operation.

Monitor and review physical stock of all secondary warehouses under supervision for monthly reconciliation.

Ensure all warehouse documents are well recorded, including physical stock, stacking, ledger books, and stack cards.

Check all receipts, dispatches, requisition pads, approach bills, distribution center visit reports, distribution lists, and prepare monthly Commodity Status Reports (CSR), Recipient Status Reports (RSR), and Loss Status Reports (LSR).

Ensure accuracy and reliability of all commodity reports for monthly and quarterly reporting.

Work closely in collaboration with field monitors and stock keepers.

Position 3: JEOP Zonal Coordinator

Job Description:

Lead and coordinate the implementation of WVE-WFP-GFD activities and ensure program implementation aligns with program goals.

Manage the day-to-day implementation of Food Resource Programs in line with approved targets and plans.

Liaise with donors and other food programming stakeholders for networking, information sharing, and partnership development.

Assist in capacity building of the food group through on-the-job training, workshops, mentoring, and other appropriate methods.

Conduct regular field visits to ensure standardized food assistance resources and warehouse management systems are in line with WV/donor standards at the Woreda level.

Monitor and evaluate budgeted and actual expenditures for food resource grants on a monthly basis.

Position 6: Finance Officer

Job Description:

Grant Financial Accounting Operation:

Process grant financial transactions in compliance with WVI FM manual, internal policies, and grant terms and conditions.

Manage accounts for emergency response.

Establish strong working relationships with partners, program staff, and stakeholders.

Engage in monthly LDR preparation for grant initiatives and support field staff as per grant requirements.

Follow up and assist in the settlement of documents related to WFP projects.

Review grant financial reports/documents and process necessary journal entries.

Ensure compliance with accounting and donor policies for field office emergency operations and grant financial accounting.

Grant Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure monthly grant financial reports are prepared for external/internal audit reviews.

Participate in budget preparation, cash flow analysis, and budget management in collaboration with staff.

Maintain monthly and annual fixed asset inventory register, handle cash requests, and manage project’s month-end cash balance.

Monitor grant project spending, report irregularities, and ensure timely advance and data management.

Apply GAAP Principles and WVI financial management protocols in preparing journals, reports, and grant accounting operations.

Maintain financial and accounting integrity, adhere to grant management protocols, standards, and guidelines.

Job Requirements:

Required Education, Training, License, Registration, and Certification:

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) in social science fields such as Rural Development, Economics, Disaster Risk Management, Agriculture, or other related disciplines.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:

Preferably, candidates with emergency response and general food distribution experience, especially those with prior involvement with WV WFP, REST, or WFP, will be given preference.

Language Requirements:

Proficiency in Tigrigna, English, and Amharic is essential.
