Position 1: Area Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Area Sales Manager plays a crucial role closely aligned with the market for Ethio Chicken, primarily tasked with selecting new agents/growers and enhancing the development of existing agents in the Region. Responsibilities include ensuring consistent sales growth by appointing agents in each Woreda, managing sales personnel, and reviewing performance. This position demands a high level of professionalism and relationship-building skills to influence stakeholders, involving extensive travel for territory monitoring and sales optimization. The role operates with minimal supervision, requiring initiative, high energy, judgment, and a relentless drive for results.

Key Functions

Planning:

Develop specific plans for sales growth and agent appointments in the territory.

Collaborate with Regional and National Sales Managers to devise strategies enhancing market share.

Map out strategies for achieving sales volume, prioritizing significant achievements with minimal effort and time.

Precisely predict the annual, quarterly, and monthly flows of revenue.

Develop a rolling sales plan based on market expansion and hatchery capacity growth.

Plan promotion activities in collaboration with the central marketing team.

Sales Activity:

Achieve sales volume targets for Day-Old Chicks (DOC) and poultry & cattle feed in the region.

Develop vet shops and other route-to-market channels for feed distribution.

Increase the number of DOC agents and feed distributors in the region.

Collaborate with the government team to ensure timely chicken off-take from agents.

Monitor and communicate information on competitors’ products for pricing and product improvement.

Implement promotional and public relations activities developed by the marketing team.

Follow up on all sales opportunities promptly.

Conduct ongoing market assessments and recommend tactical and strategic changes as needed.

Team Development:

Lead, manage, and motivate sales representatives to achieve and exceed targets through support, supervision, training, and coaching.

Assist sales personnel in establishing contacts with decision-makers in the government structure.

Identify skill/knowledge gaps in the sales team and coordinate training efforts.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

Travel frequently to zones and woredas to expand market presence and sales growth.

Hold regular meetings with area sales reps to guide them on winning strategies.

Review sales progress by woreda/zone/area in the region.

Provide monthly assessments of sales staff productivity.

Track agent performance against leading indicators, continually reevaluating partnerships.

Travel regularly to zones and woredas to understand market dynamics and provide supportive supervision for the sales team.

Report any immediate rectifications needed or complaints regarding feed quality and chicken mortality above standards to the operation manager.

Government Relation:

Develop a good working relationship with key sector government officials and professionals.

Represent the company in all sector-related meetings and activities.

Stay updated on government regulations, policies, and directives affecting the business.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

Degree in Animal Science and Veterinary.

Experience:

Fresh Graduates.

Location: Ambo, Atingo, Shambu, Asossa, Gambella, Sheno, Bule Hora, Yabelo, Ginir, Adele, Robe, Hosana, Yirgalem, Bansa daye, Tepi, Jemu, Bonga, Karat, and Yirgachefe.

Position 2: Customer Experience Officer (Maternity Replacement)

The Customer Experience Officer acts as the voice of the customer, identifying key pain points and opportunities across the end-to-end customer experience. Responsibilities encompass data collection, analysis, reporting, and presentation to deliver customer insights and recommendations for optimizing the company’s customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Regular and relevant data collection on various aspects of the company’s customer experience.

Prepare and present findings regularly to senior management across departments to improve the customer experience.

Identify and resolve data quality issues.

Maintain a database for long-term data keeping.

Monitor the resolution of customer issues during data collection and escalate significant issues.

Manage special projects related to key customer issues as recommended by senior management.

Collaborate with operation, sales, marketing, and distribution departments to improve services and products.

Recruit, coach, and manage new joiners to the Customer Insight and Innovation Team.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

BA Degree in Management, Economics, or a related field of study.

Tigrigna proficiency is advantageous.

Experience:

0–1 years of work experience is required.
