Nib Insurance Company (NIC), established on May 2, 2002, began with 658 shareholders and an authorized capital of 50 million Birr, alongside a paid-up capital of 14 million Birr. Initially operating with four branches in Addis Ababa, NIC employed fewer than 50 staff members. Currently, NIC’s paid-up capital has grown to 250 million Birr, and the number of shareholders has increased to 1,014. NIC offers both Life Assurance and General (Non-Life) Insurance services.
Position 1: Executive Officer – Resources Management
Key Responsibilities
- Reports to the CEO and oversees finance, human resources, materials, and administrative functions.
- Ensures legal and policy compliance, and advises on labor relations and administrative strategies.
Specific Duties
- Manages finance, human resources, and administrative services.
- Oversees company accounts, tax compliance, inventory, and IFRS standards.
- Directs cash management and fund utilization according to company policies.
- Manages account reconciliations, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Education: BA in Banking & Insurance, Management, Accounting & Finance, Economics, or related fields. ACII or LOMA credentials are preferred.
- Experience: 12 years relevant experience, including 5 years in senior roles in core insurance functions, with IFRS familiarity.

Qualifications
- Education: BA in Human Resource Management, Management, Public Administration, or related fields.
- Experience: 6 years relevant experience, including 4 years as Human Resource Officer II or a similar role.

Position 3: Secretary III
Qualifications
- Education: BA in Administrative Science or related fields; or Diploma (Level IV) with COC in relevant Secretarial disciplines.
- Experience: 1 year relevant experience post-BA or 4 years post-Diploma, including 2 years as Secretary II or similar role.

Qualifications

Qualifications
