Position 1: Senior Technical Officer – Grants Management (AfCDC)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in business administration, international development, grants management, public health, or a similar area with 7 years of relevant grants management experience in international or public health settings, including 3 years at an expert level.
- Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field is acceptable if accompanied by 10 years of grants management experience and 3 years at the expert level.
- Proven experience with donors, multilateral institutions, and key partners, with strong negotiation and communication skills.
Skills Required:
- Analytical and problem-solving proficiency with attention to detail.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and prioritizing effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management tools.
- Dedication to Africa CDC’s mission in enhancing public health in Africa.
Position 2: Legal Officer – Administrative and Justice Matters (OLC)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law with a minimum of 5 years of postgraduate experience, OR
- Master’s Degree in Law with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Skills Required:
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong analytical skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Proficiency in one AU working language (French, English, Portuguese, Spanish, or Arabic); additional language skills are advantageous.
Position 3: Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator – P5 (AfCDC)
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Public Health, Monitoring & Evaluation, or a related field.
Experience:
- 12 years in M&E roles, ideally in public health or global development contexts.
- Experience with health programs in developing regions, especially in immunization and health system improvement.
- At least 7 years of M&E experience in multi-country regional projects, and 3 years leading M&E for continental health initiatives.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in M&E principles, framework design, and data management.
- Proficiency in tools like DHIS2, PowerBI, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Position 4: Legal Officer – Treaty and African Affairs (OLC)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law with 5 years of relevant experience OR
- Master’s Degree in Law with 2 years of relevant experience.
Skills Required:
- Strong communication, analytical skills, and cultural sensitivity.
- Proficiency in one AU official language with additional languages as a plus.
Position 5: Senior Staff Counsellor (AfCDC)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or related field with 7 years in clinical or counseling roles, including crisis management.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of experience.
Skills Required:
- Strong counseling skills with confidentiality sensitivity.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities in multicultural settings.
Position 6: Senior Technical Officer – Emergency Response (AfCDC)
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in procurement, supply chain, or finance with 7 years in supply chain management, OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of experience.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in SAP ERP systems and strong negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of public health systems and African Union operations.
Position 7: Technical Officer – HIV, TB, Viral Hepatitis, and STIs (AfCDC)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in public health or related field with 5 years’ experience, or Master’s Degree with 2 years in endemic disease prevention.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in results-based management, technical report writing, and disease control research.
Position 8: Senior Technical Officer – Health Informatics (AfCDC)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, or similar field with 7 years in health informatics, OR Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years in relevant fields.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of EHR systems, data standards, and AU languages.
Position 9: Director – Industry, Minerals, Entrepreneurship & Tourism (IMET)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Economics, Business, or related field with 15 years in industrial development or entrepreneurship, including 8 years in management.
Skills Required:
- Strong leadership and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
