Tamra for Social Development (TSD) is a community-focused civil society organization based in Ethiopia, actively engaged in development efforts in Addis Ababa, Oromia, Southern Ethiopia, and Sidama for over 27 years. We are currently looking for qualified individuals to fill the following positions:


Position 1: Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities:
The Finance Officer will manage the financial activities of the regional office, ensuring precise record-keeping, budget oversight, and adherence to financial policies. This role includes processing transactions, generating financial reports, and assisting finance and program teams to optimize financial management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BA or Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance
  • Experience: 4 years (BA) or 2 years (Master’s) in finance/accounting within the non-profit sector, with 1-2 years specifically in finance.
  • Job Grade and Section: G3-S1

Reporting to: Finance Manager
Contract Duration: 1 year, with potential for extension based on performance.
Location: Shashemene Regional Office, with frequent travel to project sites.
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable


Position 2: IT Support Officer

Key Responsibilities:
The IT Support Specialist will maintain the organization’s IT systems, provide technical assistance to staff, and ensure the smooth operation of hardware, software, and networks. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, managing IT infrastructure, and meeting the technological needs of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BSc in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Experience: 2 years in IT within the non-profit sector, including 1 year in a similar role.
  • Contract Duration: Maternity leave cover
  • Location: Addis Ababa, with frequent travel to project sites.
  • Employment Type: Full-time

  • Education: BA or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields
  • Experience: 4 years (BA) or 2 years (Master’s) in project management within the non-profit sector, including 1-2 years in a leadership role.
  • Contract Duration: 1 year, with potential for extension based on performance.
  • Location: Addis Ababa, with frequent travel to project sites.
  • Employment Type: Full-time

Position 5: Grant and Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities:
The Grants and Compliance Coordinator will manage the organization’s grant activities, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and internal policies. This role includes coordinating grant proposals, managing agreements, and monitoring compliance while supporting program teams for successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BA or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience: 5 years (BA) or 3 years (Master’s) in finance and grant compliance within the non-profit sector, with 1-2 years in a similar role.
  • Contract Duration: 1 year, with potential for extension based on performance.
  • Location: Addis Ababa, with limited travel.
  • Employment Type: Full-time
